A FlexClip alternative for editing the videos you shot

FlexClip is an online video maker built around templates, stock media and AI generators, and what you upload is kept on its cloud server. When FlexClip is the better choice

If you start from a template rather than from footage (a promo, a slideshow, a birthday video), FlexClip gives you the templates, stock clips, music and AI tools to fill them. Shycut has none of those.

Its paid plans add 1080p or 4K exports, a brand kit, cloud space and video hosting, and teams get shared workspaces, which helps if several people make videos for the same brand.

When Shycut is the better choice

If you have a video you shot and want it ready to post, Shycut does the clean-up in your browser: pauses and “um”s cut, captions made on your device, faces and plates hidden, the frame resized for Reels or Shorts. Nothing waits on a server for 180 days, because nothing is sent.

It is free in full: no watermark, no 720p cap, no ten-minute export limit, no credits for captions, and it also works in your phone’s browser.

Questions

Does Shycut have templates like FlexClip?

No. Shycut has no templates or stock library. It works on the videos you bring: hiding faces and plates, cutting silences, captions, resizing, joining clips, music and titles.

Are captions free in Shycut?

Yes, with no limit. The speech model runs on your device after a one-time download; you can fix any line, then burn the captions into the MP4 or download an SRT file.

Is there a length limit on exports?

No server sets one. Videos up to about an hour work well; long ones are fastest on a computer.

Can I edit on my phone?

Yes. Shycut works in any current browser on a phone too, and you can install it like an app. Your projects are saved only on that device.

Your video stays with you.

Open Shycut, drop the video in and export. Free, with no account, and your video never leaves your device.
