A VEED alternative with no upload and no watermark

VEED is an online video editor that runs on its servers, with team features, stock media and AI tools. Shycut runs in your browser instead: the video is edited on your own device, exports have no watermark, and there is no account or plan to choose.

When VEED is the better choice

If a team edits together, shares projects in the cloud, or needs stock footage, text to speech and brand kits, VEED offers that and Shycut does not. Its projects live online, so you can pick them up on another computer.

If you are on a paid VEED plan already and are happy with its terms, adding another tool may not be worth it.

When Shycut is the better choice

If the job is to make a clip safe to share, Shycut does the hard part with a tap: every face and plate is found, followed and hidden, and nothing is uploaded on the way. That matters most for footage of bystanders, children, homes or incidents.

It is also simply free in full: no watermark, no 720p cap, no ten-minute export limit, no monthly caption quota. Captions, silence cuts, resizing and sound balancing all run on your own device.

Questions

Does Shycut have VEED’s team and stock features?

No. Shycut has no accounts, shared projects or stock library; your projects are saved only on your own device. It is a private tool for hiding people and plates, cutting silences, captions, resizing, joining clips and sound.

Are there export limits in Shycut?

No resolution or length caps are set by a server, because there is no server doing the work. Very long videos are limited only by your device; they are fastest on a computer.

Is my video used to train AI?

Shycut never receives your video, so it can’t be used for anything. The AI models run in your browser on your own device.

Can I add Shycut’s captions to a video I finish elsewhere?

Yes. Download the SRT file and add it in your other editor or on YouTube, or burn the captions into the MP4 in Shycut.

Your video stays with you.

Open Shycut, drop the video in and export. Free, with no account, and your video never leaves your device.
