Storage counted the way card makers count it (1 GB = 1,000,000,000 bytes). A card or phone keeps some room for itself, so a little less fits.
YouTube’s figures
The sum behind every figure
A video’s size is its bitrate times its length, divided by 8 (eight bits to a byte). At YouTube’s rate that is 12 Mbps for the picture plus 384 kbps for the sound, 12.4 Mbps together; a minute is 743.04 Mb, and ÷ 8 gives 93 MB.

What 60 frames a second costs
YouTube’s rate for high frame rates is half as much again as for 30 fps, not twice as much, because frames that close together are much alike. That puts an hour at about 5.6 GB.
Sport, action cameras and games are where 60 fps earns its space. For a talk or a tutorial, 30 fps carries the same information in less: compare the 1080p 30 fps page.
