Why 4:5 for a Pin
Pinterest recommends square or vertical video: 1:1, 2:3, 4:5 or 9:16. Shycut makes 4:5, the closest of its frames to the 2:3 shape Pinterest recommends for Pins, so a video sits in the feed at nearly the shape of the pictures around it.
A video Pin needs at least 4 seconds and can run 15 minutes. Pinterest suggests 6 to 15 seconds for video ads, a useful length to aim for in any Pin that has to catch someone mid-scroll.

- The Size tab says whether your edit is a length it takes: at least 4 s and up to 15 min. The save window says it again before anything is made.

- The save window aims the file under that size and steps the picture down only if it has to.
- On your device
- The video opens in this browser tab and is made there. Nothing is uploaded, so there is no size limit on the original.
